Position Type:
Full Time and Part Time positions available. Weekend availability required.
*Please note this role is seasonal. Typically, applicants start in April and work through to July or August, with some flexibility.
Compensation:
This role starts at $18/hour.
About the Role:
- Greet and assist customers who visit or call the store, representing our friendly and professional team as the first-point-of-contact.
- Leverage your great memorization capabilities, along with references and price labels, to enter customer purchases accurately into our simple till system.
- Process all purchases, refunds and exchanges efficiently and accurately to ensure a positive check-out experience. We’re counting on you!
- Ensure store standards for cleanliness, organization and professionalism are met at all times by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and re-organizing the front area of the store.
- Log into our online order dashboard to download, check, pick and process incoming online orders as needed.
- Maintain a positive work ethic and “team-player” attitude, valuing the opportunity to be invited back for future summers.
Skills and Requirements:
- Able-bodied (you’ll be on your feet!)
- Detail-oriented and good with numbers
- Excellent memorization capability
- Cash-handling experience (or similar)
- Must enjoy being part of a team and interacting with customers
- Independent transportation to Cochrane
- Bonus Points for customer service or retail experience
