Position Type:
Full-time positions available. Weekend availability is required.
*Please note this role is seasonal. Typically, applicants start in April and work through to late June or early July, with some flexibility.
Compensation:
This role starts at $18 per hour.
About the Role:
- Working most of the time in the greenhouse, with some flex work in the outdoor tree lot.
- Provide quality and consistent care for the plants in the greenhouse by watering, cleaning up dead blossoms, broken branches, or pruning as needed.
- Restock plants throughout the day to ensure the retail space is full and organized (requires bending, lifting and carrying).
- Assist customers with plant or product inquiries, as well as shopping needs to ensure a positive and professional experience with the Anything Grows brand.
- Ensure garden center standards for cleanliness, organization and professionalism are met at all times by tidying and sweeping.
- Maintain a positive work ethic and “team-player” attitude, valuing the opportunity to be invited back for future summers.
Skills and Requirements:
- Physically able (some heavy lifting required)
- Comfortable with the outdoors & “getting your hands dirty”
- Experience ‘wearing multiple hats’ or working in a changing environment
- Independent transportation to work
- Must enjoy being part of a team and interacting with customers
- No experience necessary, but a willingness to learn is!
- Bonus Points for customer service or retail experience
